Macau's climate at a glance
Macau has a subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. The ideal window is October to December — warm days (20–28°C), low humidity, minimal rain and clear skies for sightseeing. November brings the Formula 1 Grand Prix, one of the world's most prestigious street circuits. The September Fireworks Contest (held weekends across September and early October) is spectacular from the Outer Harbour waterfront.
Avoid May–September if possible: typhoon season brings heavy rains, oppressive humidity and the risk of ferry cancellations and public closures when Signal 8+ is raised. If you must travel in summer, pack a compact typhoon-proof umbrella and buy flexible accommodation.
